Import CSV dives
CSV is the escape hatch every app and spreadsheet has, and it's often the fastest way to digitize an old paper logbook: a date column and a depth column are enough to start.

Getting the file
Getting a CSV out of wherever your dives are now:
- Another dive log app: look for Export → CSV.
- A spreadsheet: File → Download/Save as → CSV in Excel, Google Sheets, or Numbers.
- A paper logbook: type it up with one row per dive — date, site, max depth, duration, and whatever else you recorded. Our logbook guide lists the fields worth keeping.
Importing it here
- Create a free logbook (or sign in) — importing is free on every plan, always.
- Open Import & export from the account menu and drop your file on the import panel.
- Review the preview — every dive is shown exactly as it will be saved, and nothing is written to your logbook until you confirm.
What carries over
Whatever your columns hold: dates, dive numbers, sites, cities and countries, depths, durations, temperatures, visibility, pressures, buddies, ratings, and notes. Column headings are matched automatically, units are read from the values, and the preview shows every dive as it will be saved.
After import your dives behave like any others: unit preferences apply, stats include them, and each one can become a shareable public page. Also importing from elsewhere? All the formats: Subsurface, UDDF, Excel, DAN DL7.
